Recruitment of Bilingual Participants

Dr. Vanessa Taler’s laboratory in the School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa is currently recruiting participants for a study taking place at the Bruyère Research Institute. We are searching for participants aged 65+ who are English-French bilinguals (learned English and French before the age of 13) and speak no other languages, to participate in a study concerning language function in older adults. Participants should be in good physical and mental health. We will contact the first 50 people who respond.

The study comprises two sessions of 1.5 to 2 hours each (total time commitment of around 3 hours). You will be remunerated for your time, and reimbursed for parking and/or bus tickets. Examples of tasks include viewing pictures and providing the name of the object or action, and listening to two words at a time and identifying what the two concepts have in common.
