Hi Ottawa Seniors!
I’d like to let you and your members know about a short documentary screening in the Ottawa LGBT Film Festival this Saturday, November 11. It’s particularly relevant to LGBTQ seniors but has lots of resonance for anybody who gets a little older every day.
“Older Than What?” is first and foremost about aging. Filmed interview-style, 12 seniors answer 10 question about aging and share stories about how they’ve made history. The film was supported in its crowd-funding campaign by the Ottawa Senior Pride Network; one of the film’s subjects is Bill Richardson, Canadian author and humourist and former CBC Radio host.
The film has screened nationally and internationally and just won the International Short Film competition at the Asterisco Film Festival in Buenos Aires.
Following is some information that you can circulate, or post online. I could also send you a PDF mini poster to post physically if you like.
