Attention Ottawa area: researchers at the University of Ottawa’s Human Environmental Physiology Research Unit (HEPRU) are seeking participants.
Their research focuses on how the body interacts with the environment and in particular, how heat stress can affect our health and performance. This is especially important with the predicted rise in heatwaves.
For their studies, they work with adults aged 18-75, including people with diabetes and/or hypertension. Older participants receive a stress test of their heart health, and all participants receive a free fitness assessment including a professionally conducted VO2 max test, a great indicator of aerobic fitness.
Researchers will accommodate your schedule. Interested? Questions? Please contact research assistant Samah Saci at: firstname.lastname@example.org or call (613) 804-4564.
