The Lodge is a 161-bed, long-term care facility situated on a picturesque, 12-hectare waterfront property overlooking the Rideau River in South Ottawa.
Carleton Lodge is a non-profit facility owned and operated by the City of Ottawa. The original Lodge was opened in 1960 and was the first municipal home for the aged in Ottawa Carleton. A new facility was constructed on the same site, at the corner of Woodroffe Ave. and Prince of Wales Drive, and opened its doors on April 8, 1989.
All long term care facilities (nursing homes) have rates that are government determined with Long Stay Basic = $1848.73, semi-private to $2280.04 to Private $2701.61 The basic accommodation is income based and therefore eligible for reduction from that amount, upon application.
