“I have met some of you at your doors, at special celebrations, and even at some of our great community hubs like the Olde Forge Community Resource Centre and the Maison de la Francophonie. Through these many conversations with you about senior services, local active living groups, and affordability supports, it became evident that there is a significant information gap between the resources that are available and the seniors that require them. The older adult community in Ottawa West—Nepean has shown resilience in facing the challenges of the last few years, but there is still a need for a comprehensive resource.
I collaborated with our community to create this Seniors Guide. This guide is a service to our community and my commitment to bridging this information gap. It’s crafted not just as a directory but as a tool to empower and support seniors in Ottawa West—Nepean. By collaborating with local organizations and leveraging their expertise, we’ve compiled a resource that we hope will enrich your lives, providing insights into the services, programs, and opportunities available to you.”
