Hi! My name is Emily. I’m a Registered Nurse and a Certified Personal Trainer. I help individuals who suffer from chronic pain, and those whose limited movement is affecting their ability to experience life the way they want to. I help clients improve their health through home and workspace environmental consultation and design, providing educational workshops on important health topics, movement coaching, and Thai massage. I take an evidence-based approach while recognizing and incorporating the complexities and unpredictability of day-to-day life, to every individual’s unique situation.

Movement and health have always fascinated me. Though my definition of health has changed over the years, I’ve come to learn that health is not merely the absence of disease, but a state of being that is influenced by multiple factors in one’s life. To me, being healthy means that I have the ability to enjoy life without restriction, feel safe and supported by my community, and have the tools and skills necessary to nourish my body. 

What is Thai Massage?

Thai massage is a full-body, clothed massage that includes the use of a variety of stretching, trigger-point, and movement techniques. Thai massage is performed on a large, padded floor mat, and techniques are adjusted to the client’s comfort level and movement capacity.

Thai massage therapy helps patients relax, alleviate pain, and improve mobility. Overall, it can be part of personal self-care to manage stress, fatigue, anxiety and depression. Regular massage promotes overall health and wellness.

Sessions are available at my studio located at 1300 Carling Ave, Unit 306, Ottawa, ON. I am also available for home visits for those unable to travel to the studio. There will be a small transportation fee.

My rates are:

$80 +HST /60 min

$110 + HST /90 min
